we commit ourselves to co-operation projects and to building networks for the mutual support and the exchange of knowledge of women experts. We support women’s rights and the partizipation of women in peace processes and we back campaigns against all forms of violence. With the programme «Redefining Peace – Women Lead the Way» we strive to make the expert knowledge of PeaceWomen more and more applicable.
The exhibition «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe» features life and work of PeaceWomen on 1000 coloured postcards with short profiles and photographs of each PeaceWoman. The award-winning book «1000 Peace Women Across the Globe» and the exhibition are translated in numerous languages and aim to sensitize a wide audience to issues of peace and peacebuilding.
Different documentary films present inspiring and sometimes very challenging insights into the work of PeaceWomen in different regions of the world. The film «1000 Women and a Dream» is a documentary of the project «1000 women for the Nobel Peace Prize» and describes the beginnings of the organization PeaceWomen Across the Globe.
Peace work is highly dangerous in many regions of the world and again and again we receive reports of women who are being persecuted, tortured or even murdered. PeaceWomen Across the Globe looks out particularly for these women in danger and supports them with solidarity campaigns.
