The book «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe» – with the support of partner organizations and the great help of many volunteers the book «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe» – or excerpts of it – have been translated into many languages. «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe» deals with the work of the 1000 PeaceWomen. It features in photographs and profile texts every single woman and gives an insight into life and work of PeaceWomen in 150 countries round the world. The book was published in English by Kontrast-Verlag, Zurich, in 2005. The book was honoured by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture as one of the «Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2005».

«Another Nobel Peace Prize: 1000 Women Weaving Peace» is the Japanese edition of the book «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe». Next to the 1000 PeaceWomen who are being portrayed in the book it also includes the 1000 translators and the editors. Kaoru Aoyama from Japan has coordinated this unique initiative.

«Colours of Peace», is written in Chinese Mandarin and tells the stories of the PeaceWomen from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This book is the result of the untiring work of Kin Chi Lau, our coordinator for China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and her committed team of volunteers.

«Filipino Peace Women» illustrates the detailed stories of 27 Filipino PeaceWomen.

«Una Colombia que nos queda», written in Spanish, deals with the engagement of twelve Colombian PeaceWomen. Undaunted by the over 40 years of civil war, they do everything humanly possible for a peaceful coexistence of people in their country.

«Brasileiras – Guerreiras da Paz», written in Portuguese, portrays the lives of 52 Brazilian PeaceWomen.

«Fifty-five PeaceWomen from the Arab Region»
In an effort to pay homage to the admirable role played by Arab women in pursuing peace throughout the Arab region, we hereby present the fifty-five Arab women who were selected by the project to be nominated for the Nobel peace prize. These women have, despite all odds, managed to influence and inspire the communities in which they live. By publishing a short statement about each of them, taken from the book «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe», and translated into Arabic, we hope to create greater public awareness about these remarkable Arab women's successes and achievements.
