PeaceWomen Across the Globe participates in activities related to the 10th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on «Women, Peace and Security». «Visionews» is a global media cooperation project of OWEN with Inter Press Service Germany and its sponsor association Global Cooperation Council, PeaceWomen Across the Globe and the German Women´s Security Council.

There is bad news every day: wars, disasters, violence, poverty and misery on a global scale. We would like to counteract these depressing facts with some hopeful information in the form of Visionews, which will publish success stories and inspiring visions of peace from all over the world, providing encouraging examples of achievements. The texts are written by professional journalists.

«Visionews» will form the foundation of a worldwide database of good practices of the implementation of UN-Resolution 1325 and can be used by non-governmental organisations, women’s peace groups and all those interested.
