Visibility & Connectivity

PeaceWomen Across the Globe enables women to network with, to learn from and to encourage one another. The PeaceWomen can tap into a wealth of experience in peace processes and conflict resolution in their own cultural and political environments. The exhibitions «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe», «No Women - No Peace» and «safe water. with women!» promote the peace work of women and form an essential part of the program «Visibility and Connectivity». If you are interested in showing one of the exhibitions, please contact our International Secretariat.

Exhibitions
Our exhibition «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe» conveys the relevance of women's peace work and popularizes their notion of peace on a very personal and solid level. It is conceived as a travelling exhibition and was shown for the first time in 2005 in Zurich (Switzerland) with overwhelming success. Since then it tours around the world and has made the work of PeaceWomen visible in over 1000 exhibits in 60 countries.

10 years after the UN Security Council passed the Resolution 1325 on «Women, Peace and Security» PeaceWomen Across the Globe launched in 2010 the exhibition «No Women – No Peace», calling attention to the (non-) implementation of this important resolution.

PeaceWomen Across the Globe launched the exhibition «safe water. with women!» on the occasion of the 6th World Water Forum 2012 in Marseille, France. The exhibition portrays 10 women water experts who have created regional strategies for the preservation and sustainable use of water, thus contributing for social justice and peace in their communities.
