| «1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe», our exhibition, conveys the relevance of peace work of women and popularizes their notion of peace on a very personal and solid level. It is conceived as a travelling exhibition and was shown for the first time in Zurich, Switzerland, with overwhelming success. Since 2005 it tours around the world and in about 1000 exhibits in 60 countries visitors could get to know the work of PeaceWomen.
1000 postcards with photographs and profile texts portray every single woman nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005. Different colours refer to their different fields of work and illustrate the vast array of engagement, such as reconciliation and reconstruction, human rights – women’s rights, economic rights and livelihood, ecological security and fight against violence against women.
