| PeaceWomen Across the Globe points out that many PeaceWomen are working in a dangerous sphere and in the interfaces of organized criminality. Worldwide women are victims of violence. Violence is used to silence, to control, to manipulate them. There are many of our PeaceWomen who are being threatened because of their peacebuilding work. The most shocking example is the murder of Anna Politkovskaya in october 2007, which is not yet cleared up.
Messages, postcards or petitions to those responsible for their safety often make a big difference for endangered or imprisoned women. Please support these women and give them the certainty and make them feel, we’ll keep them in mind.
