Commemoration Anna Politkowskaja
2009-10-07

It is three years ago that the Russian journalist Anna Politkowskaja has been bastardly shot down on the stairs to her apartment. Anna Politkowskaja was one of the 1000 women who were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005.

Anna Politkowskaja was one of the 1000 women who were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005. She was nominated for her courageous reporting. We knew that Anna belongs to the women at risk, because she could not be intimidated in her work. Anna was brought to silence, because she brought the Chechnya war and the human rights violations to Moscow as well as her investigations about the massacre at the school from Basran. PeaceWomen Across the Globe demand the complete clearing-up of the murder of Anna Politkowskaja.

«We are contemporaries of this savage conflict in Chechnya and, in the end, we will have to answer for it.» Anna Politkowskaja
