New PWAG exhibition: «safe water. with women!»
2012-03-12 - 2012-03-17, Marseille (France)

PeaceWomen Across the Globe launches its new exhibition on the occasion of the 6th World Water Forum 2012.

The exhibition portraits 10 women water experts who have created regional strategies for the preservation and sustainable use of water, thus contributing for social justice and peace in their communities.

Although 2/3 of the earth consists of water, many regions of the world face an acute water shortage as a result of climate changes and resource conflicts. Women are affected in particular, as they are often responsible for providing water for their families. In many countries, women are in the forefront of struggles to protect safe water and use their creativity and skills to develop ways of sustainable use of natural resources, especially water.

PeaceWomen Across the Globe aims to make the expertise of women for water and peace visible and to give an insight into their work.
