Greetings!
We are pleased to announce that the report for the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women of Burma from 2010-03-02 is now available! An electronic version of the report can be downloaded (link below). This report documents the themes from the testimonies of the 12 Tribunal testifiers - on sexual violence against women, on civil and political violations, and on social, economic and cultural violations of human rights in Burma. The report also provides the full findings of the Tribunal judges, and outlines their recommendations for Burma's military regime, the Asia-Pacific region, the international community and the United Nations, as well as their recommendations for civil society. We strongly believe that the Tribunal has added value to the existing documentation and reporting work on the crisis in Burma. Along with our partners around the globe, we will continue to use the work of the Tribunal in our advocacy efforts in support of a free and democratic Burma. You can watch a short video of the Tribunal (second link below). For more information, please visit the Nobel Women's Initiative website. We appreciate your interest and support for the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women of Burma!
