PeaceWomen Across the Globe is the global network of the 1000 women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005. All around the world there are courageous and creative PeaceWomen working for peace, social justice and a secure future, applying a wide range of approaches and methods. Their experience, their knowledge and their connections are united in the organization PeaceWomen Across the Globe.

Elise Boulding, PeaceWoman from the USA, passes away at 89

Elise Boulding died at 4:40 pm, June 24, 2010 in Needham, MA. Hailed as a “matriarch” of the twentieth century peace research movement, she was sociologist emeritus from Dartmouth College and from the University of Colorado and in on the ground floor in the movements of peace, women’s studies and futures and played pivotal roles in each.  >> more
