20 years "Women, Peace and Security": who is safe?

26.10.2020, Press release

The UN Security Council passed Resolution 1325 on 31 October 2000. It is considered a milestone for women's rights. For the first time, women's concerns were made part of the international security agenda. The resolution takes a women's perspective on armed conflicts and demands the increased participation of women in peace processes.

Find out more in our press release (available only in German) and about women's participation in peace processes on the web page of the Council of Foreign Relations.
