Unfortunately, Colombia and Venezuela are facing a difficult situation where peace is at risk.
PeaceWomen could not remain silent. Some of them had the iniatitive to write a letter to President Uribe and President Chávez in order to ask them for dialogue and peace. This initiviative was supported by several PeaceWomen from Latin America and the Caribbean; one PeaceWoman from Switzerland; Ruth – Gaby Vermot – Mangold, Co-President, 1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe; members of the the International Secretariat and the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office.
The letter was submitted to the Colombian Embassy and Venezuelan Embassy in Argentina.
